Albany Business Review Announces Awards For Under 40 Under Forty
The Albany Business Review has released its first annual 40 Under Forty Awards, an award recognizing outstanding young entrepreneurs in the local business community. This year’s awards are focused on the area of the economy that will be the primary focus for those who are running businesses in the Albany area in the coming years. The Albany Business Review stated that the Albany region has one of the strongest economies in New York State with an average of two businesses per household. This is a strong indication of the fact that people want to spend time in the Albany area.
The Albany Business Review said its awards are not meant to be a knock on other local businesses, but instead they are highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit that is so strong in the Albany area. The awards recognize outstanding businesses in the area that are making their mark in the world of business. The awards also include those companies that are in the process of creating a company in the Albany area. Those that are already in the area can be recognized for a specific category, such as Food, Services or Technology. This is a great opportunity for all that are involved in the local business community to get together and share ideas on how to enhance the future of the economy.
The Albany Business Review said that the award was created based upon criteria that are designed to help recognize businesses in the Albany area that is being operated by individuals. The criteria were based upon information provided by those that helped to develop the criteria and then were asked to participate in a short survey. The results were then compiled into the criteria that were being used for this year’s awards. They were then put through a process that includes fact checking and verification.
The criteria that were being used this year were based on the type of business, the number of employees, the number of customers that visit the location and the customer satisfaction rate. In addition to the criteria that were used, there were some that were eliminated in the process.
According to the Albany Business Review, businesses that made it into the final categories this year had shown some major progress in the areas of customer satisfaction. These businesses had been shown to be able to meet the needs of the customer by providing a service that is up to the expectations of the customer.
For those businesses that did make the list of finalists, the Albany Business Review stated that they were given a chance to present their case to the judges at a local event. Some of these events were dinners that were held by the Greater Albany Conference & Visitors Bureau and the Downtown Albany Business Alliance. This shows that the business and its employees were acknowledged by people in the downtown business community. The event was meant to provide a platform for these businesses to show off the progress that they have made and to showcase their skills to others.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Capital Region Business Convention Center in Troy over the Labor Day Weekend. The awards ceremony will include a special awards ceremony hosted by the Governor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Tourism.
The business that was selected to receive the award this year will be announced in print in the Albany Business Review on August 9th. Each business that is selected will be featured on the front page of the Business Review. It will provide an overview of what they have accomplished, as well as a listing of accomplishments from previous years and where they will need to go for future success.
